These safety guards are designed for mounting across the front of surface grinding machines and cylindrical grinding machines and both use sliding panels for machine access.
The Model PRE 01 depends entirely for guidance and support on a steel rail with adjustable roller carriages. The single sliding panel slides to one side for opening with the maximum opening being 50% of dimension “A” plus 50mm. A sloping sheet metal rear panel is supplied for coolant return to the machine table channel. Please advise left opr right hand opening.
The Model PRE 10 has two end support columns to support the two sliding panels. Panels slide on linear motion bearings with a useful opening of Dimension “A” less 130mm. Control of closure for each of the sliding doors is monitored by individual 2NC safety rated micro switches.
Regardless of model, PRE 01 or PRE 10, there are standard sized models but special sizes can be supplied to order.
