This guard is designed to suit medium to large geared head pedestal drilling machines as well as Radial Arm Drilling Machines.
The guard is mounted on the left side of the machine head and swings open for access to the drill chuck. The mounting arm has an integrated safety rated 2NC micro switch to be interlocked into the machines control circuit in order to ensure the machine won’t operate when the guard isn’t closed.
Please note that if the drilling machine has unsuitable switchgear for connection of the micro switch, we supply a “Framework Design Switchbox”
